nos gustaría agradeceros la paciencia que habeis demostrado durante
todos estos meses, una época que ha supuesto un antes y un después y que
ha castigado especialmente a nuestro sector, dejando en el camino a
muchos amigos y compañeros sin opción de retorno.
Es por ello que
nos sentimos especialmente orgullosos de seguir en pie y poder lanzar
un comunicado en el que 7 artistas que nos apasionan formarán el cartel
de la próxima edición del Kristonfest 2022, que tendrá lugar en la sala
Mon de Madrid durante los sábados 7 y 14 Mayo 2022. Las entradas ya
están a la venta a través de la web del festival: www.kristonfest.com El
primer día estará encabezado por los suecos WITCHCRAFT, probablemente
una de las bandas más deseadas y ansiadas de ver en estos momentos. Ya
les tuvimos confirmados para la edición del 2020 y 2021 pero por razones
que todos conocemos fue del todo imposible poder disfrutar de
ellos...se dice que a la tercera va la vencida y esperamos que así sea.
Quedaros
con este nombre, SLIFT, un torbellino sónico de tres cabezas propulsado
por The Stooges, Hawkwind, MC5, Kyuss o Can y que mira a la cara a
bandas más contemporáneas como King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard,
Wooden Shijps o Moon Duo. Vendrán a presentar su enorme 'Ummon' del que
todo el mundo habla.
Para cerrar la primera jornada tendremos a
ATAVISMO desde Algeciras, orgullo nacional y banda con la que cualquier
amante de la exploración sonora, la psicodelia y la improvisación
disfrutará de un viaje cósmico innigualable.
El segundo día
contará con 4 artistas que ofrecerán diversidad y goce por partes
iguales. Desde San Diego llegarán los míticos EARTHLESS para encabezar
la jornada y no nos tiembla el pulso al confirmar que es una de las
mejores bandas de rock psicodélico del mundo. Ya les tuvimos en una
edición pasada en la que dejaron a todo el mundo con la boca abierta y
con ganas de más. Ahora Isaiah también toca la guitarra en The Black
Crowes pero eso no lo complicó cuando les propusimos volver al
Kristonfest.
Desde Palm Springs (USA) otro de los platos fuertes
será ver la puesta escena de STÖNER, comandado por dos padrinos del rock
desértico como son Brant Bjork y Nick Oliveri, ambos fundadores de
Kyuss, también Mondo Generator, Ché, Fu Manchu, Bloodcot, etc...y Ryan
Gut (batería) de la banda Brant Bjork & The Bros. No llamas a tu
banda Stöner si nunca has escuchado la palabra antes y, como su
historial atestigua, no es la primera vez que estos tres músicos se
embarcan en un proyecto de este calibre.
MAIDAVALE estuvieron
confirmadas en la edición que tuvimos que cancelar por la crisis
sanitaria así que teníamos una deuda con ellas que por fin podremos
saldar!. Este cuarteto procedente de Suecia brilla como pocos en los
cielos de la psicodelia-rock y heavy-blues de la última década. Beben de
las influencias que dejaron para la historia le década de los ´60s,
aportando a su repertorio un sonido más directo, atmosférico y
contundente.
Para completar el cartel nada mejor que savia nueva,
los noruegos SLOMOSA irrumpen en escena con una carta de presentación
de lo más interesante y apetecible: Riffs que te llevan a las dunas
heladas de la tundra escandinava, rock musculoso y grasiento en la senda
de clásicos como Fu Manchu y los primeros Queens Of The Stone Age. Una
buena embestida de nueva generación que hace constatar el buen estado de
salud de la escena desert-rock europea.

SLOMOSA burst onto the scene with a most interesting and appetizing
cover letter: Riffs that take you to the frozen dunes of the
Scandinavian tundra, muscular and greasy rock on the path of classics
like Fu Manchu and the early Queens Of The Stone Age. A good new
generation onslaught that confirms the good health of the European
desert-rock scene.
